Here is a suggestion for those who want to speak out against the media,
tv and radio (who clearly doesn't need an opposing view on a show named
Mr. X Show - no need for Mr. Y there, right?):
Why not have the government made up of an equal number of both
republicans and democrats, rather than tilt the balance of power each
time an election comes round. You may not have a balance of power on a
tv or radio show, but when it comes to government, every people should
be represented there.
... Same with the Supreme Court.
Agreement, revisions and a voice from both opposing camps matter, and I
think they count more than an agenda one single party may have when in
majority.
By the way, i know... what about "the independents", with all due respect to the elected members of the houses as Independents, but there truly should be a right and a left. Creating a center (or a middle ground) is what the aim of both camps should be: come to an agreement, thus come to the center where issues are resolved.
Independents mean "being free of a right or a left", just being on their own, so I'm clearly wondering where do they actually stand. I wouldn't agree with them being the tie breakers, because it wouldn't sound plausible, as everyone has some left views or some right views every once in a while. Again, there should not be a tie in the first place, government being here for all of us to come to a conclusion in the end, even if it means skipping a vacation every now and then.
What matters is we the people have to be represented. We all come from the right and we all come from the left and we all are trying to reach the Center.
There was a reason why the two party system was put in order, wasn't there?
